I have a tendency to romanticize the summer season, especially during the winter when I’m longing for warm weather. But even I can take off my rose-colored glasses for long enough to admit that summer does have its drawbacks, just like any other season!

From uncomfortably warm weather to an abundance of bugs that bite and sting, summer conditions often get the best of the unprepared. So in order to make sure we’re all prepared for whatever summer throws our way, I’ll be sharing nearly a dozen homemade solutions in today’s blog post!

These quick and easy DIYs offer simple solutions to all your warm weather problems. Whether you choose a couple or make them all, they’re sure to come in handy all season long.

5 Easy DIYs That Will Solve All Your Warm Weather Problems

1. Face Mist

This multi-purpose face mist feels so refreshing on a hot day, and it couldn’t be easier to make! In addition to being a cool, refreshing treat for overheated skin, you can also use it to set your makeup or give dry skin a dose of much-needed hydration.

2. Cracked Heel Treatment

Like most people who grew up in Southern California, I’ve never been able to shake my affinity for sandals. I wear sandals almost exclusively during the summer, but I often end up struggling with dry, cracked heels because of it.

But my heels have been in much better shape since I started applying my homemade Sleep Salve every night before bed! Not only will it keep your feet softer and more moisturized, it will also help you get more restful sleep too.

3. Air Freshener Spray

When a room is starting to smell a little stale, there’s nothing better than throwing open the windows to let in some fresh air. But that’s not always the most attractive solution during the summer, especially in the heat of the day!

On those occasions, having your own all-natural air freshening spray can be a real lifesaver! Just spritz it around any room to freshen stale air instantly.

4. Bug Repellent Bracelet

Protect yourself from bug bites and be prepared for anything nature throws your way by making your own bug repellent bracelet! Infused with bug repelling essential oils, this bracelet is as useful as it is fun to make!

5. Wasp Repellent

Peppermint essential oil makes a simple and natural solution for deterring wasps from taking over your outdoor spaces. Just add a drop or two of peppermint oil to several cotton balls, then store them around your patio and outdoor furniture to surround the area with a naturally wasp-repelling aroma!
