The Best Daily Moisturizer For Aging Skin
My search for the best daily moisturizer for aging skin has been a long one, not least because the air is so drying here. But my skin is also highly sensitive, so I needed a daily moisturizer that could soothe my dry, itchy skin and rehydrate and moisturize it without making it red or irritated.
Luckily, I did manage to find a moisturizer for aging skin that fit the bill exactly, and that’s why I call it my Ideal Daily Moisturizer. In this post, I’ll tell you all about what makes this moisturizer so ideal, in case you’re using a less-than-ideal moisturizer and could use an upgrade!
Why Skin Needs Hydration And Moisture

Hydrating ingredients attract water to the outermost layers of your skin, while moisturizing ingredients lubricate your skin, forming a barrier of natural oils that helps seal in hydration. My Ideal Daily Moisturizer features a variety of ingredients that promote firm, healthy, hydrated skin, including:
- Glycerin: The most effective humectant used in skincare products, glycerin draws water to hydrate and soften skin.
- Squalene: Mimics your skin’s natural oils for healthier, more vibrant skin, and has natural antioxidant properties to help fight skin damage.
- Hyaluronic Acid: This sugar naturally occurs in our skin to attract water and help keep it hydrated. It can hold 1,000 times its own weight in water!
- Niacinamide: Also known as Vitamin B3, this ceramide helps to visibly reduce enlarged pores and improve skin’s texture and appearance.
- Plant Extracts: Chamomile, aloe vera, and other plant extracts help to reduce inflammation, soften skin, and protect it from damage.
How To Use It
My Ideal Daily Moisturizer makes a great everyday moisturizer, and it’s so easy to use. Just apply a nickel-sized amount to your face and neck as the last step in your evening routine, and the second-to-last step in your morning routine. (You should always make SPF the last step of your morning routine!)
The light consistency of this moisturizer will leave your skin looking and feeling soft and hydrated.
