While Pregnant or Breastfeeding
All of the single oils in our shop - lavender, lemon, and sweet orange — are considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding when properly diluted.
Freshly Washed is the only blend in our shop that is safe for topical and aromatic use during pregnancy, when properly diluted. All other blends contain oils that should be avoided while pregnant and breastfeeding.
Even for oils that are generally considered safe, always consult your doctor before using essential oils during pregnancy, do not use them during your first trimester, and never ingest essential oils.
If you choose to apply oils to your skin, dilute them properly with a carrier oil such as coconut, almond, or olive oil. A 1% dilution is recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding (about 2 drops of essential oil in a 10 ml roll-on bottle, filled the rest of the way with carrier oil).
I put a few drops of this awesome orange oil in they lid of my kitchen trash can every time I change the bag. I also use it sparingly over my cats litter box pellets. It isn’t overwhelming and the cats don’t mind it at all. Lastly, I use a drop or 2 on the filters of my small, handheld vacuum cleaners. What a difference the orange scent make in all of these instances. I love knowing that I have it on hand. 😁
I use this in my diffuser while I am sewing
